Emergencies know no time. Whether acute colic, serious injury or sudden illness – our emergency service is at your side even outside regular consultation hours.
In an emergency, please always call in advance so that we can make the best possible preparations for your care.

When is it an emergency?
Questions & Answers
An animal emergency is always when your pet’s condition suddenly becomes life-threatening or causes severe pain – and you cannot wait until the next regular consultation. If you are unsure: It is better to call early. We will help you to assess whether it is a genuine emergency and how to react correctly until you receive treatment.
Typical emergencies are, for example

Shortness of breath or bluish mucous membranes

Colic symptoms in the horse (restlessness, rolling, sweating)

Severe bleeding injuries or open fractures

Suspected poisoning (e.g. ingestion of poisoned bait, plants or medication)

Birth complications

Sudden paralysis, seizures or unconsciousness

Persistent vomiting or diarrhea, especially in small animals
